You know you read too much fanfiction when you walk past a NY fire departement and the first thing that comes to mind is firefighter!Blaine.

How to Succeed in Business

Well, today has been pretty crazy.

Can I just say that Darren was so much better than I could have ever imagined? His performance just blew me away, from his first to last scene and note. I now regret not seeing the musical more than once because I really want to see it again, but I can’t.. It’s so good, even if it hadn’t been Darren as Finch, I still would have loved it!

The show is so funny. The moment he first rises from the orchestra pit was pretty amazing. So surreal to actually see him perform this gigantic production on a fucking Broadway stage. I was and still am so proud. So many great songs, great actors, great dancing. Oh my god the dancing.. And Darren.. He can really bust a move, god. What makes this musical so enjoyable are the little things. The little quirks actors incoorporate in their acting, their facial expressions are sometimes so hilarious you just want drop to the floor from laughing so hard. And oh my god, everytime the lights went out you know, and focus on Darren and he just smiles this fucking smile towards the audience, I just CAN’T. Too precious. And he’s so hilarious. Or Finch is, but Darren really brought a lot of himself into the rolel. You can’t even tell he’s only been doing this for a month. It’s a very well-oiled machine and he fitted in perfectly! One of my favorite songs/moments was Grand Old Ivy. I literally had tears in my eyes from laughing, jesus fucking christ. He’s constantly running around, singing and dancing and just busting hilarious moves and he’s so precious while doing so.

I could go into detail about the show but it would honestly take me way too long.

The curtain call was.. Unbelievable. Darren came out of the elevator wearing his fucking Starkid glasses. I lost it, jesus fucking christ. This guy is really going to be the cause of my death one of these days. He was so adorable.. I can’t even find the right words to express myself. The applause was just insane! His face during the applause was just.. Unbelievable, again. The gratitude and joy on his face made me tear up, I was getting so emotional! I really had tears in my eyes, which doesn’t happen often! I’m just so damn proud of him, of how far he’s come and I was so happy to be there at that moment. He then said a couple of words, and god if I didn’t have any tears in my eyes yet, they definitely appeared then. He said a lot of stuff, I’m sure you can find videos of it on youtube but I just want to address one thing, and that’s the moment when he thanked his beautiful family. That was just.. You could hear him choking up and just, oh my goodness. I have all these feelings and I don’t know what to do.

I saw the Criss family a couple of times throughout the night. The first time was when we entered the theater at the same time as them.. Oh my god, I may or may not have shrieked when I suddenly saw Chuck on my left. Thank god he didn’t notice me.. Haha. Mama and papa Criss are even more adorable in real life! They are so cute. Once we got to our seats (row J, a little to the left) we could see them from where we were sitting. They sat three or four rows before us, but in the center. They were constantly talking to fans and seemed so happy and very relaxed. They must be so proud.. I would be too! Mia was there too, she was sitting in the same row as the Crisses. Oh, and Darren’s publicist was sitting right in front of me!

When the show was over we headed outside, but we didn’t stay at the stagedoor because 1) it was obviously going to take a while for him to come out, 2) it was fucking cold 3) we were hungry 4) there were so many people, we wouldn’t have been able to see anything anyway. So we decided to go get dinner instead. So we did that, and afterwards we decided to go back to Times Square to do some shopping when we noticed the crowds were STILL outside the theater. We hung out for ten minutes or so and then Darren came out! Haha, once again, we had perfect timing! (remember when we met Nick?). I couldn’t really see him while he was signing autographs from where I was standing so I waited till he got up the stairs to make his speech, which I then completely filmed! Yay! And again, I choked up.

I love him so fucking much and he continues to amaze me every single day. He’s so wonderful and talented, and he really deserves everything coming his way and I respect him so much for being so wonderful and passionate. Flawless human being.

It was so totally worth flying all the way to New York for this experience, I wouldn’t want to change it for the world. Darren definitely knows how to suceed in business without really trying, that’s for sure.

"Life is only as good as the people you share it with."
— Darren Criss (Final curtain call speech, H2$)

Darren Criss is flawless.

"Here’s the deal - for anyone on the other side of the street, this side of the street, Gleeks, Starkids, everyone who’s waited out here in the cold, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. It’s freezing out, you have so much love that it just blows my mind. I’m so grateful to you, I can’t thank all of you enough - it’s been such a fun ride for me. And I can’t sign everything for everybody, I can’t take pictures with everybody, but I wish I could. I love you all from the bottom of my heart and thank you so much, I’ll see you next time."

Just edited the post I made last night about the stagedoor

Cause there were so many typos.. Oops. I was clearly too tired when I wrote it and didn’t even bother to read it over. Fixed it now though.

Currently eating lunch and we’re heading off to the theater in a bit to see How To Succeed! So excited!

Okay, so about the stagedoor

So we got there at 8pm in the fucking cold weather. Crazy. We started talking to the girls next to us, very nice girls who are from Philadelphia, I believe! While waiting, we were on the right side of the door. I heard some people had been there since 11:30 this morning. Crazy! Anyway.. I wasn’t really at the front of the line, there were like four rows of people in front of me so I knew I wouldn’t be able to get an autograph.. I was prepared for it.. I just wanted to see his face! He finally came out around 11:30 I think. I was freezing to death by then and there was a lot of pushing, but generally the fans were nice and pretty respectful. The clapping thing failed though. No way that was going to work. He then got on top the stairs and made his little speech.. I got a bit of it on tape but not all of it. In the end I didn’t get an autograph because I was simply just too far away, even with people in front of me holding my program for me.

BUT.

Yes, there’s a but. When he left I went to say goodbye to the girls I had talked to earlier that night, and when they found out I didn’t get an autograph, two of those girls offered me theirs. So. Fucking. Nice. Oh my gosh. They were upset I came all this way to see him and didn’t get an autograph. I declined at first but when we said our final goodbyes one of the girls pushed the paper in my hands and oh my gosh I HAVE DARREN’S AUTOGRAPH. Girl whose name I can’t remember, I LOVE YOU. That was so nice of her.

The stagedoor was a fun experience, but I’m never doing it again in this weather. No way.

Seeing the show tomorrow! Can’t wait!!!
